Flavia Delfini is an Italian freelance translator. She translates documents from Japanese & English into Italian, and, less frequently, from Italian into English.
She has attended the Classical High School, with excellent marks. Such kind of studies assured a remarkable mastery of the Italian language as well as a wide education and capacity of connecting various fields.
Later, Flavia graduated cum laude in Japanese Studies at “La Sapienza University” in Rome, by translating into Italian a famous document from the 7th century. During and after the college, she improved her knowledge of English by often attending educational and social activities of the American Community in Rome
as well as travelling in the United States.
After graduating Flavia worked mainly both in tourist and legal enviroments. Being employed in a Japanese company as well as in a luxury hotel chain as a front-desk clerk allowed her to improve her knowledge of both the languages, yet to gain a remarkable experience of the hotel & catering services industry. Later, she was employed as a secretary- interpreter at a notary office, which allowed her to become familiar with the legal and financial language.
Lately, Flavia works as a freelance translator for public companies, private customers and translation agencies in Italy and worldwide. Since February 2009 she has been working as sworn translator authorized by the Civitavecchia Court.
Flavia Delfini is fond of Veterinary, Modern History, Psychology, Cooking and Music.
She plays piano, organ and keyboard. Until 2004 she joined the Choir of the San Nicola in Carcere Basilica (Gregorian Chants) in Rome .
